FHN Publications will be holding meetings for students interested in joining staff next year. The meetings are Tuesday after school at 2:30 or Wednesday before school
at 6:50 a.m. in room 026. Interested students should be at one of the meetings.
The meetings will cover what being on staff means, requirements, trips, obligations, and answer any questions that students may have about being on staff.
In order to join a staff, students must have completed one of two semester classes: Journalism or Photojournalism. Each class covers the basic skills and knowledge necessary for students on staff. Students interested in joining staff who have completed either of those courses may be eligible to join a staff for the 2014-15 school year.
FHN Publications is made up of 4 hours: Newspaper, Yearbook, Digital Media, and Photo. Digital Media includes Web and Video. The staffs produce 5 publications; The North Star, which comes out with several issues throughout the year; the Excalibur yearbook, which comes out during summer registration; FHNtoday.com and FHNgameday.com, which are updated daily; and the monthly Podcast FHNtodayTV.
Any students thinking about joining a staff are encouraged to come to either meeting and learn more. To learn more about staff, visit fhntoday.com/tellmemore.
