Senior and three year releases the ball and as he watches it drop in he gets ready for the next one. He lets fly the second and it also drops in giving the Varsity boys basketball team a three point lead with 10 seconds left against rival Howell Central.
“It was a lot of pressure knowing I had to make those two for the team to win,” senior and three year Varsity player James Gleeson said.
Gleeson made it to the free throw line 14 times during that game and made 12 of them. He had a total of 26 points during the game and the next closest player on the team scored only 10 points.
“It felt good to help give the team the win even when we were losing,” Gleeson said.
So far this season Gleeson has been the highest scorer on the team with 193 points averaging 16.8 points per game. He is currently shooting 48 percent from the field making 60-128 field goals.
“It feels good to help the team get nine wins so far and do much better than last year,” Gleeson said
