On Feb 1 at 7:00 p.m., students braved ice-covered roads to gather in the FHN Commons to participate in the annual Snowcoming winter dance. The Student Council organized and decorated the event. The theme of the dance was “Neon Knights.” Everybody arrived, covered in bright, glowing, fluorescent clothing. The Student Council also offered face painting to students attending. The dance was scheduled to last until 10 p.m., but ended early due to expectations that road conditions would worsen during the night.
The Snowcoming court consisted of the following: Freshmen Luke Prost, Carson Yuede, Samantha Weyrich and Yuri Takenaka. Sophomores Mensur Koso, Cameron Landers, Taylor Ousley and Theresa Wooten, Juniors Peter Lewis, Sean Pirrone, Macy Friedman and Emma Gordon. Seniors Chris Cattron, Lewis Stein, Ethan Bond, Fionna Cruz, Crystal Webb and Catherine House. Ethan Bond and Crystal Webb were crowned Snowcoming King and Queen.
