Every year StuCo puts on their annual Winter warm up to collect clothes for those less fortunate. But this year things are going to change. This
year Stuco has decided not to host the event, and according to stuco president Rowan Pugh they just did not have enough time with all of the up coming events like Mr. FHN.
“With all the dance planning and only one advisor these past months, we have just not had the time to get it together fast enough,” Pugh said.
Last years Winter Warm Up was the biggest turn out they have ever had according to StuCo members. Radio hosts Mason and Remy from 93.7 The Bull also stopped by to help out StuCo members with collecting the donations that were dropped by. Along with helping out collecting clothes they provided music while students stayed by the fire to keep warm.
“We definitely want to do it next year. I think it is a great cause and a lot of fun for the people participating and donating. So we really want it to work out next year,” sophomore and StuCo cabinet member Nicole Morse said.
Plans for next year are still to be planned concerning the Winter Warm up but many members are very set on it being a part of next years StuCo activities.
“ We really just like helping out people and this is a great way to do that so we really want it to be a big thing next year,” sophomore and StuCo member Hannah Freitas said.
