Alyssa Thrasher (Senior)
Girls Swimming
Senior Alyssa Thrasher is very happy with her performance in GAC’s this year. Thrasher swam in the prelims and made it to finals where she shaved off some of her time. She thinks the team overall did a very good job. They had two girls, Megan Hampson and Maggie Torbeck place in the 100 meter backstroke finals.
Chris Bounds (Sophomore)
Wrestling
This year the boys wrestling team had their GAC’s around mid December. After wrestling in about 40 matches, sophomore Chris Bounds did not place. He did not let it get him down. Being a sophomore on Varsity, he was expected to have a pretty hard season and he feels he performed really well. The team had three state qualifiers this year even though they have a very young team.
Jessica Brady (Sophomore)
Girls Basketball
Unlike the other sports, sophomore Jessica Brady felt the JV girls basketball team could have played more as a team. She hopes that next year she can finish more of her shots, so they have a better ending result. The JV girls placed sixth out of eight teams in the GAC’s this year.
Chase Powelson (Sophomore)
Boys Basketball
Last week the JV boys basketball team had their GAC’s of this season. After losing the first game, sophomore Chase Powelson was disappointed, but he knew they could do better. Then the next two games they proved they weren’t there to mess around. After winning those two games the JV boys basketball team ended up in fifth place.
