Girls Basketball
Sophomore Katie Turnbeaugh plays JV basketball and is preparing for her final game tomorrow night at Troy. The team placed 8th in GAC’s and are looking forward to another win tomorrow. “I think we will come out with everything we have especially since it’s our last game and hopefully we can pull off a win,” Katie said. Her favorite part about basketball is spending time with all the girls and being able to joke around with everyone on and off the court.
Bowling
Senior Natasha Kozak is preparing for her first bowling tournament of the year on March 9. Kozak believes that in order to do well, she needs to work on following through with her arm so she can control where the ball will go. “If we stay consistent I feel we will do very well and maybe even place for the finals,” Natasha said. Her favorite part about bowling is being with a variety of people and playing a unique sport.
Wrestling
Junior Sam Ritchie placed 8th in state and lost in the last match to medal. “I regret losing the last match of the season more than anything, it caused me to not get a state medal,” Ritchie said. His favorite part of the season was all the trips and spending time with the team. Sam’s goal for his senior year is to be a state finalist
Girls Swimming
Junior Lindsay Grzeskowiak’s favorite part of swimming is the practices. She loves getting to see her friends everyday. Unfortunately, Lindsay was sick so she was unable to participate in all but one race in GACs which was the 400 freestyle relay. “I did alright for being sick I guess. I just wished I could’ve done better for my team,” Grzeskowiak said.
Boys Basketball
Sophomore Matt Boreli’s favorite part of basketball is the teamwork and the competition involved in it. The team had previously finished 5th in GACs and Matt wishes he would have worked more on ball handling before and during the season. This Friday is the team’s last game and they have been specifically working on their defense and offence against zone defense. The game will take place at 5.
