Famed Givenchy designer, Riccardo Tisci recently had the chance to collaborate with Nike to produce the Nike + R.T. Air Force One. The Air Force One is Tisci’s favorite silhouette from Nike, so it
would only make sense that he would utilize the model.
In an interview with British newspaper “The Telegraph,” Tisci goes on to proclaim his love for the Air Force Ones and tells why he uses it as the model for collaboration
“The shoe is universal yet somehow very personal,” Tisci tells “The Telegraph.” “I travel all over the world, and I see people wearing the Air Force 1, and they wear it in so many different ways. And so I was thinking, what is the essence of the Air Force 1? And how do I take that essence and make my own statement?”
There are four different styles and two colorways of the Nike + R.T. Air Force One: A low top, a mid top, a high top, and a boot. Out of all the styles, the most unique has to be the boot. It features a knee high leg piece on top of the base of the high top.
The shoes feature a white/black upper and a brown leather swoosh with a orange highlights. The shoes also features multicolored straps and patches along the upper. While the shoes aren’t exactly for me, I can see how they can be worn in a creative manner, especially the boots. While the white pair dropped last week, you can still catch the black, dropping April 1.
