The Air Jordan One, a classic sneaker, sees a new colorway this week that’s on-par with the top three Air Jordan Ones, the “Breds”, the “Royals”, and the “Shadows”.
Based upon Michael Jordan’s time with the Birmingham Barons, one of the White Sox’s AA affiliate teams, these shoes take inspiration from the team’s colors of white, black, and grey and applies them to the phenomenal Air Jordan One silhouette. The shoe features a predominately white upper portion with black and grey accents throughout the design. The shoe also includes a black and grey pin-striped sock liner and Nike “Air” branding.
While the resemblance between the “Barons” and the “Shadows” is evident, I feel as if there is a separating factor between the two, about as much difference as there is between the “black toe” Air Jordan Ones and the “Chicago” Ones. While the “Shadows” may be considered superior due to the predominantly black upper, these definitely look better, especially with the minor details like the pinstripe sock liner and laces.
Expect to see these Air Jordan Ones make their way to retailers this Saturday, April 5, 2014.
