The freshmen girls soccer team took on the Fort Zumwalt West Panthers on their field on March 31. The Knights defeated their hosts 2-1.
“The game on Monday went well,” Defender Dani Bauer said. “We were playing FZW and I honestly thought we were going to tie the game. One of our midfielders went down and that’s when we got our little spark of energy. We ended up winning the game 2-1.”
The Panthers scored the first goal in the first period, then the Knights scored, North scored the only point of the second half. The Knights next play Central on April 10 on home.
“After seeing us come back and win that game I gained so much more confidence in this season.” Bauer said. “I think every day we are progressing more and more and I think this season will be a great one.” (shot by ashleigh jenkins)
