This year’s 4.0 Luncheon for seniors will be held on April 11 at the at St. Peters’ Old Hickory Golf Club. Seniors
attending the luncheon will be excused from class to attend the event, where they will get to attend a luncheon and talk with other classmates.
“There is a lot of work that goes into planning the event so that all the seniors feel special and rewarded for all their hard work throughout their high school careers,” Communication Arts teacher Lindsey Scheller said.
During the luncheon, seniors will get to celebrate all of the accomplishments they have made throughout past four years. Principles from then FHSD will each get a chance to speak on behalf of all of their students, along Superintendent, Pam Sloan. A lunch will be provided for all attending. Medals will be given to all of the students.
“I think the luncheon is a great idea because it shows all the hard work that we have put into our academics,” senior Missy Cloward said. ‘We get rewarded for that.”
To qualify for the luncheon, students must be on track to graduate with a 4.0 grade average or higher. According to Scheller, it’s a great way to show the kids that all their hard work is appreciated and pays off.
“I most excited for the luncheon because first of all I get to leave class for it and I get to spend time with my other friends going. Plus I get to have a good lunch,” Cloward said.
