The KOE Picnic took place on May 2. The picnic has been going on for 10 years. The point of the picnic is to reward students for grades, attendance, and encourages academic performance.
“We have different inflatables. This year there was an obstacle coarse, hamster ball race, boxing ring, and a mechanical bull,” Catherine House, the senior treasurer for KOE said.
Students get to leave their 6 and 7 hours to go outside and enjoy a fun day with food and inflatables. With a reward such as the picnic students strive to do good and make the criteria to attend the picnic.
“It’s nice to have rewards for coming out and being a good student,” House said.
Koe works hard to make this a great event for students. Members started planning around four months in advance to make sure everything came together. The members of Koe thought the event came together and was a great success.
“It’s just one of those things I will remember for the rest of my life, doing the Koe picnic every year,” House said.
