‘We Are All Knights’ is the new club that encourages students with or with out disabilities to create friendships. It is lead by Shelly Zak and Lisa Pentecost. The club encourages any student at FHN to join and attend the events to help students with disabilities create friendships and have fun.
“It’s a great way to find out that all people have value,” said Pentecost.
We Are All Knights’ first meeting today from 2:30 to 2:45. The club is also planning on attending the Powder Puff game to support the FHN football players and powder puff players. The club is also planning on attending the Homecoming dance. Other upcoming events for the club are yet to be scheduled. They are looking for any students interested in signing up.
“Anybody who has had a child with disabilities in one of their classes and our curious about them as people, this is a great way to find out,” said Pentecost.
The club is based on another club called ‘All of Us’ which focuses on the same principles of bonding and creating friend ships with the kids in need. In addition to participating in school sponsored events, they also attend charity events, special olympics, walks, and fundraisers to support their school and others.
To sign up, students can head over to room 1 and talk to Lisa Pentecost or to room 27 to talk to Shelly Zak about signing up.
