This Friday, the Knights will be pitted up against rival team Francis Howell Central at Central. The team expects this game to be a pivotal point in the year.
“We’ve been playing some tougher games in the early part of the season,” Coach Brandon Gregory said. “I think its going to set us up to finish strong at the end of the season”
The beginning to this season has produced less than desired results for the team. Starting the season with a 42-13 loss against Vianney, the Knights then went on to lose against Zumwalt East 34-28, Zumwalt South 28-21, and Francis Howell High School 40-0. This puts the team at a 0-4 record for the season. However the team tries not to let that get them down.
“I think us not winning has been pushing us to practice and play harder,” senior AJ Lozada said.
It’s a mixture of this pushing and the teams confidence that has given the team high hopes for this Fridays game. Even though the team lost their game last year against Central, They expect this years game to go a lot better.
“They were senior loaded,” Gregory said. “ Those seniors have moved on.”
