On Sept 19 and 20 the choir concert gathered in the commons for their annual dinner concert. This year’s theme was ‘an evening of Broadway and movie musicals’. Songs from shows like Newsies, Chicago, Paint Your Wagon, and Motown were sung.
“I think it went pretty well this weekend.” Senior Ryan Ehlers said.
The show had 21 performances. Two of the performances were by treble and concert choir. The other performances were sung by individual singers or pairs. Alum Bob Strickland and Tori Stepanek emceed the event and also performed. Some soloists performed more than once. On Saturday night the music cut out during Knightsound’s closing performance. The singers carried on without the music with the audience keeping the beat by clapping.
“I’m look forward to district choir and the spring concert.” Ehlers said. (photos by ashleigh jenkins and yasmeen belakhoua)
