On Monday Sept. 15 the Jv and varsity girls volleyball team battled the Kirkwood Pioneers. The varsity girls ended the first game of the match losing 15-25, winning the second game 27 to 25, and winning the third game 26 to 24. The knights won the match overall.
“I think we played with probably the best attitude that we’ve ever had. We stayed up the whole game and there weren’t any times where we really got down. So I’m really impressed with us even though we lost,” varsity player, Meghan Mitchell said.
The varsity girls lost the first game 25 to 22, and lost the second game 25 to 21. The varsity knights lost the match overall. The girls’ next game for the Jv and varsity teams is Tuesday Sept. 16.
“I think for our next game we can’t freak out in the last couple points or when the other teams getting close. We just have to keep pushing and not make silly mistakes,” Mitchell said.
