This week’s winner – Lori Moore.

Moore is very invested in FHN as one of the business teachers. She teaches Intro to Business, Marketing, and Marketing Work Program in room 17. She likes building relationships with students and inspiring them to find a job that they love as much as she loves hers.

“I love being a teacher! I love being around 120 plus teenagers each day,” said Moore. “I am very passionate about Marketing and enjoy helping students figure out college ambitions and future careers.”

Moore’s favorite hobby is spending time with her family. Her family consisting of her husband, Chris, and daughter, Maddi, love to swim, play at the park, and take walks. Lori comes from a family of four. She has three sisters. Her favorite thing to do with her family is hang out around their pool. She finds it entertaining to BBQ, relax, and watch the kids swim around and play.

“It is so fun to watch our family grow as people, get married, and have children — we are a really close family and spend a lot of time together,” said Moore.

Last summer Lori traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Buffalo, New York; Toronto, Canada; Gull Lake, Minnesota; and the Lake of the Ozarks. She is also planning on taking a family vacation to Florida next June. As a sponsor of DECA, she hopes to be taking several DECA students to the International competition in Orlando, Florida.

“I think Business and Marketing classes are so beneficial to all students. The networking, presentation, teamwork, and interview skills that we learn and demonstrate in our classes can be applied to any major or career path,” said Moore.
