The Homecoming game was held on Sept. 26 against the Trojans. The Knights won with a score of 28-0. “I feel good coming off a win from last week. I knew early in the season that the beginning part of our season was gonna be rough, and the back end we had a chance to win out. We are taking each game to win out and get a good seat in districts. For us to come out with a win of course is always a plus right now,” said Coach Brandon Gregory. When asked what changes Coach Gregory made to the team he responded, “For the most part it’s week 5 so we didn’t really make any changes. I’ve just been challenging the guys to come out and come out early swinging first, and we always kinda test the waters to see if its cool and sometimes it’ll be too late to do that. This week we kinda been trying to get things going quick and fast in a steady way to the second half and trying to get on top of things from the beginning of the game.“The biggest thing is resting guys ups. We have a lot of key guys who are injured and guys that are banged up so we gonna stay in the minimum preparation and practice and get the guys we need healthy and go from there.” This was also a big week for junior Kyle Springli (#77) as he returns to the field for the first time since August after an injury. “I feel pretty good about coming back,” said Springli ,“we played good but we could played a lot better. We need to keep working on the basics and fundamentals and working as a team.” The next game will be at home against Timberland. (shot by lauren price, mckenzie shea, and ariel kirkpatrick)
