Young Libertarians is one of the clubs new to FHN this year. The main focus of the club is to educate others about libertarian ideals and to promote those ideals at FHN. The club is for any student interested in politics. This club focuses on the individual voice in politics and the promotion of those ideas. The club is also meant to be a learning experience for any student that wants to learn more about our nations politics and the way politics work with in our country and other countries.
“The club offers an alternative to those that want a voice politically but aren’t comfortable with Republicans or Democrats,” said Danny Dilber.
The main focus of the club is politics and everything about politics. The group offers a chance to explore a big range of ideas, like foreign policy, economics, and philosophy. Promoting politics to young students allows for greater knowledge about our countries government. The club focuses on those individual rights and the freedom of expressing those ideas.
“The ideals of libertarianism include individual rights, peace with other nations, and promoting economic growth through free markets,” said Dilber.
The club promotes the idea of the 1st amendment rights and the specific freedoms of all humans. It is a way for any student to get their voice heard within their school or community.
“I hope that students take away a bigger range of ideas to deepen their own thoughts,” said Dilber.
To join the club stop by Dilber’s room, room 106. The next meeting is Thursday, Oct. 2, right after school in room 170, and every other Thursday after that.
