After a three game losing streak from 9/11 to 9/16 the Lady Knights varsity volleyball team has found themselves on a five-game winning streak following Monday’s win versus Parkway South. The Knights can accredit this recent success to the great offensive play of junior Baylie Clynes, who has a team leading 69 points and another team leading 112 assists. Another reason can be found by the Knights’ defense, who have found success in senior Alexis Harrell’s blocking ability with a team leading 32 blocks. The Knights are looking to continue this success as the season winds its way to an end. As of writing this, the Knights hold a 8-7-1 record and a 4-3 GAC record. The Knights are tied with Francis Howell Central in conference play with both teams at 4-3, but both teams trail Francis Howell who is standing at a staggering 7-0 conference record. The Knights have some work to do if they are looking to catch the Vikings’ perfect conference record and claim the GAC title.
