On Oct. 4, Knightline will be hosting a Trunk Sale at FHN from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. It’s basically a large garage sale in FHN’s parking lot. This is the first year that Knightline has hosted the event.
“I think it will go good depending on how many people know about it,” Knightline senior Sam Immekus said.
Knightline is charging $15 a head to come and set up a booth. The idea is that participants can sell the items out of the trunk of their cars, but they can also just bring tables to lay their stuff out on. They can sell anything like old clothes, unused household items, and furniture just like a typical garage sale.
“Knightline will benefit greatly because it’ll help with our finances,” Monica Friedman, a senior on Knightline said.
The event was organized by the parents of the Knightline girls to raise money for their club. They’ll put the money they collect from the event towards national competitions this year. Proceeds will help cover transportation and other fees.
“I hope it goes well because it helps Knightline go to nationals,” Maddy Wagster, a senior on Knightline said. “Our parents have worked hard to get this together and we hope it goes as smooth as possible.”
