2014 – 2015 Attention students and parents of Sophomores and Juniors! The PSAT national exam date for FHN is Saturday, October 18, 2014. PSAT is National Merit Scholarship Corporation exam. Announce that Risa Takenaka took first in singles at Individual Districts. Yuri Takenaka and Emily Wilson took 3rd in individual districts. The Team took 2nd in Team Districts. 10/6 Kleiber This weekend KnightPride Competed at the River City Showcase hosted by Fort Zumwalt North Marching Band. They placed 3rd in Prelims and 4th over all. In finals they placed 3rd for the entire day and beat bands 3 times their size. It has been a great season so far and can’t wait to their last show on October 25th at Central Missouri University? 10/6 Moorman Speech & Debate: At the Student Congress Meet in Oakville, Mensure Koso won First Speaker award and Som Singh won Permanent Presiding Officer award. Both were excited to get these awards in a completion that included more than 9 other high schools. Our golf team competed in districts last week. The team finished in 3rd and all 5 of the girls made the cut to compete in Sectionals today at Woods Fort in Troy, MO. Congratulations, Julia Kaminski, Maleya Schmidt, Hannah Willett, Jessica Qian & Briana Schmidt. Softball will play in the first round of districts on Wednesday at FHC at 4:15 pm. The Knights will face FZS. Dan Dilber, Lorraine Smith & Donna Malkmus were recognized at the varsity football game as the team’s Honorary Teachers of the Week. |

Attention FHN Students: The German Club will be holding the annual Oktoberfest celebration on October 7th in the commons from 6-8pm. We will be enjoying fun games, food and even some dancing. If you are interested, you can sign up in any World Language classroom. Tickets cost $3.00. 10/7 McPartland 10/10 Birch Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on: Wednesday, October 8, 2014 and Thursday, October 9, 2014 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM We look forward to seeing you! 10/9 Blankenship Students will not be in session on October 10th, while teachers will have the opportunity to participate in an all-day Tech Fest. Teachers selected from numerous technology related workshops, many of which are being presented by local Francis Howell experts. Use code 1005 Auto Spa Speedy Wash 2601 Old Muegge Rd. • St. Charles, MO 6678 Mexico Rd. • St. Peters, MO 2014-15 Youth Spectator Guidelines All students and children currently enrolled in the eighth grade and younger must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult to be admitted to or remain at the event. We expect students and children to remain under the supervision of the adult that they are attending the event with. Accompanying adults are asked to maintain diligent supervision of those youth spectators for which they have assumed responsibility the entire contest. Any youth spectators found to be without adult supervision will be returned to the adult(s) they came to game with. If their adults are unable to be found, they will be held outside the stadium until a responsible adult comes to pick them up or accompany them back to the game. Sportsmanship/Cheering Expectations For the enjoyment of all, the following expectations for fans, players, and students will be enforced:

Parent/Teacher Conferences Survey
The Calendar Task Force (CTF) is currently meeting, and would like to have input regarding parent/teacher conferences. Currently, the District has conferences in both the fall and spring (two evenings in the fall/two evening in the spring), and your opinion is sought as to whether both conferences should be retained.
