On Wednesday and Thursday evenings, Oct. 8 and 9, FHN will be holding parent-teacher conferences. The teachers will be set up in the gym and parents will come and visit their student’s teachers and learn about how the kids are doing in their classes.
“Sometimes parent-teacher conferences make me nervous because you don’t know what the teacher will tell your parents,” sophomore Bailey Corcoran said.
Students get nervous sometimes for these parent-teacher conferences because it’s right before fall break and they want to make sure they have all of their stuff in. They want to make sure they have a high grade in the class to end the quarter with.
“I feel like these parent teacher conferences are a good way for parents to find out how their kids are doing in their classes and what their grades are,” History Teacher Mark Olwig said.
Teachers use this time to communicate with the parents and talk about their students. They inform the parents about what they need to know about their student.
