This month, a lot of big things have happened in the skateboarding world. Thrasher Magazine just started the annual King of the Road, there has been some new recruits on theberrics.com, and some new video on Thrasher’s website.
King of the Road is held annually, and involves a number of teams travelling the country and completing crazy challenges. This year the competitors are Flip, Element, and last years champion, Birdhouse. The teams got the challenge books about a week ago, and have already been trying to complete them. One challenge was ‘Take a selfie while doing a handrail’ which, to most people, doing a handrail is hard enough, let alone taking a selfie while doing it. Episodes of King of the Road will be out soon.
Over on theberrics.com, a couple people put out some of the heaviest recruit videos the berrics have ever seen. The first was Matt Berger, who you can easily tell, put it down for this video. Normal skaters would do a grind, but when Matt does it, he does a 180 out, or some other variation to make it unique. Tommy Fynn was the next person recruited, who has made a big debut lately. He started with a firing line on Thrasher’s website, and is now recruited for The Berrics. His ending trick shocked everyone, and if you want to see it, go to theberrics.com.
On thrashermagazine.com, there has been multiple new firing lines, hall of meats, and magnifieds. These are all short videos that feature a line from different skaters, footage of people falling, and footage of crazy tricks from this months magazine issue.
