Every since the beginning of summer, the girls volleyball team has been practicing and competing to prepare themselves for the season. The hard work and dedication finally came to an
end on Oct. 16 with the final seasonal game against Eureka high school.
The game was held at North with both the freshman and JV team cheering and supporting varsity. The team unfortunately lost 26-24 and 25-21 in two games.
“Varsity did awesome against such a good team ,” freshman Aliyah Clark said. “I wish they could of won though.”
The team has not played Eureka before in the season and weren’t quite sure what to expect.
“ We played very strong against Eureka and we fought throughout both games,” junior Meghan Mitchell said. “Everyone on the team did their part.”
The girls were very proud of the way they played as a team against Eureka. They never gave up on each other and played their hearts out for the last game of season.
“I’m sad that was our last season game, but I’m excited for districts and hopefully sectionals, if we make it,” Mitchell said.
The first district game for the team is Wednesday Oct. 23 at Howell North.
