FHN’s Trick or Treat Street is a fun and different alternative to the average ‘trick or treating’ Halloween tradition, according to StuCo adviser Shelly Parks.
“It’s like a safe Halloween option for elementary kids in the district,” Parks said.
Trick or Treat Street is collection of clubs from FHN, decorating their rooms to a Halloween type for kids to go in and out of and play games and participate in other Halloween themed activities, eat candy, and have good time.
“It’s up to every club to do their own room and everybody’s pretty much rolling on it,” Parks said.
The elementary kids will be showing their holiday spirits by dressing up in costumes. High school students of the clubs will be able to do the same and dress up as well to connect with the kids.
“I like that we all get to dress up and hang out with kids and eat candy,” StuCo President, Nicole Morse said. “It’s fun watching the kids in their costumes having a good time.”
Trick or Treat Street will take place Oct. 30 from 5-7:30 p.m. The admission price will be $2 a person. This annual event is hosted by StuCo to reach out and connect community members to the school.
“It’s just fun to see tons of people from the community in our school and appreciating it, and the kids are always so cute and have fun.” Parks said.
Future events being held by StuCo include Mock Rock, which is held in Nov., Snowcoming, which is held in early Feb., and Mr. FHN, which is held at the end of April.
