After a 2-0 win over Fort Zumwalt East at Districts and then a loss 0-2 to Incarnate Word, the Lady Knights Volleyball team conclude their season.
Overall, this 2014 campaign by the Lady Knights was brought about by solid offensive play from junior Baylie Clynes (138 points, 256 assists) and sophomore Kate Doerhoff (251 attacks, 130 kills), and a defensive frontline lead by seniors Jessica Allison (61 blocks) and Alexis Harrell (67 blocks). There was also solid defense from juniors Meghan Mitchell (219 digs) and Sydney Salzano (256 digs), and sophomore Mallory Keipp (286 digs). The season ended with a solid 12-15-4 record which was a huge understatement for this young team’s ability.
This team looks to have a strong future and great potential if the younger players practice and keep up the play next season.
