Day 1: Blink-182 Confusion
Blink-182 has been all anyone has been talking about for the past few days. It’s a wildly confusing situation that just keeps getting more and more confusing instead of getting any clearer. I’ll go over what (I think) is going on.
First, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker get an email from Tom DeLonge’s manager saying that he was out of the band and wanted to work on his other non-musical endeavors. Hoppus and Barker then announced that Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio would be filling in for DeLonge for their upcoming tours and commitments. Next, DeLonge posts on Instagram stating that he “never quit the band”. Shortly after this, Rolling Stone interviewed Hoppus and Barker. They came out and said that DeLonge “Couldn’t have been more clear” about leaving the band. DeLonge is adamant that he is still in the band. So where are we in this situation now? No one really knows.
This explosion of drama has somewhat calmed down. No one really knows exactly what’s going on, but no new news has come out in a little while so the drama has been placed on the backburner. Everyone has different takes on this situation, but I’ll say mine.
I think that DeLonge said that he didn’t want to be apart of the band. He realized that means he wouldn’t be getting paid or anything, so he just said he’s on a hiatus. Hoppus and Barker took that as he was gone for good. I also think that they just thought it was time for him to go so that just enhanced their decision.
While no one knows what’s going on, all of their fans just want answers. They want to know what’s going on and they want the childish behavior to be over. Hopefully within the next couple days the fans will have their answers.

Day 4: Fall Out Boy’s New Album Reaches Number One Spot
The newest Fall Out Boy album “American Beauty/American Psycho” was released on Jan 20, 2015. It is currently number one on the Billboard Top 200 list. This is a well deserved spot and it’s great to see rock back on top.
