On Saturday, May 2, the annual prom will be held at the St. Charles Convention Center. This year it will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will include a Brazilian Carnival theme.
“I think that the Brazilian Carnival will be very fun and colorful and I’m pretty excited to see how it will ultimately turn out”, said senior Logan Coombs
Tickets will go on sale this week and will be sold until April 10. From Feb. 23 through the 27, the tickets will can be bought for $50.00(per person), $60.00 on March 23 through 27, and on April 6 through 10 for $70.00. Tickets can be purchased before school, during lunches, and after school. All fines must be paid before purchasing tickets and a student ID must be shown prior to the purchase of tickets.
“I’m excited because this will be my last high school dance and that I’m going to spend it with all my closest friends,” stated senior Brenda Alvarado. “Also that I will finally go in the dress that I’ve always dreamed of wearing”
Dinner will be served this year before the dance. The food options will be chicken, steak, and vegetarian. Many are hoping for a wide selection of food this year, for a great meal that will fill them up before the dance.
“I’m super excited for the food this year because I’ve heard many things about it, but I’m also really thrilled to just experience prom as a whole,” junior Isabelle Mattenson says.
