Each year the senior parents come together to host the All-Knighter, an event for senior students to attend on the night of graduation. Parents started the event as a safe alternative to parties. Parents volunteer throughout the school year at the snack table in the commons to raise money to pay for the nights entertainment.
“The night is just a safe environment for the whole class to have one more big blast,” senior parent Kristina Castor said. “And it’s probably the last time that a lot of them will get to be together so I think it’s a great thing for them.”
To be eligible to attend the event students must pay $120 by the end of April. Payments can be taken care of at schedule pick-up for $30 a year for all four years of their school career or payments of $120 can be made.
“My sister went her senior year and said it was a lot of fun so I’m really looking forward to it,” senior Sierra Teuscher said. “Plus it’s the last time I will get to be together with them all.”
During the night, students get to run around to different booths and participate in games. At last years event some of the events included a hypnotist and a cartoonist. This years events will not be revealed until that night. They do this to give the students something to look forward to during the night and to change things up every year. Along with the booths and activities students also have to opportunity to win cool prizes given out throughout the night.
“I’m definitely going because it’s the last time we’ll get to be together and celebrate everything we’ve done, ” senior Hannah Wilson said.
