On April 16, the annual male beauty contest will be held for the 16 competing students, who are all hoping to take the title of Mr. FHN. The contest will take place in the auditorium at 6 p.m. Males from every grade can participate in this beauty contest.
“I love to entertain people, so I’m definitely excited to be in it this year,” senior Joey Henry said.
The contest will be scored in several different categories. The following categories will be a question and answer, casual wear, formal wear, and a talent portion. Students mostly enjoy the talent portion because of the incredible talent and the entertainment that occurs.
“I’m most excited for the talent portion because that always tends to be the funniest and most entertaining part of the night,” junior Kasey Wagner said.
Every year money is donated to an organization that is chosen by the contestants. This year all proceeds will end up going to the American Cancer Society.
“I think it’s great that we are raising money for the American Cancer Society and that I’ll be competing for something that’ll help others,” Henry said.
Out of the sixteen guys participating, the top three will be chosen by the amount of money that is donated for them at the end. First place will win $200, second with $100, and third with $50.
“I’m definitely excited to see all my friends perform and to cheer them on,” said sophomore Sydney Weber.
