Tomorrow, the 7th and final installment to the Fast and furious series releases. All the ends come together and the action gets bigger faster and even more absurd. The cast gets bigger and the story can finally come to an end. Will you see it?
With the death of Paul Walker, and the absence through half the film part of the giant anticipation is over how they will handle that in the film and what will happen to his character. Even if your love for the series has died throughout each film getting more and more absurd and insane people are going to come in respect of him.
Now going off the trailer embedded above it is easy to say this movie looks like a promising finale. Starting with the classic fast and furious heist. They go through the classic moves and as expected something goes wrong. Leading up to Brian running up a bus as it falls off a cliff and grabs the tail of Lennys car to bring him up to safety but before you see it end it cuts away. First Question Could that be his death scene? Second Question with all that action the first 30 seconds what else does the movie have in store for us? Then it goes onto to reveal parts of the plot which looks pretty good. It’s got all the characters back. You see their house from the first go up in flames and then the main antagonist of this film who is played by Jason Statham.
Obviously this movie is not recommended to people who haven’t seen the first six installments to the series. But I think even if you aren’t getting a lot of the story the action scenes , and pretty good comedy they have been known for in the past will keep the expectations high even for F&F first timers.
For the F&F lovers it is a risk to get an approval after the first six set the bar so high. There are a lot of questions to answer, a lot of characters to end, and in the right way and an entire world that has to be put to rest. It is going to be hard to get everyone to love it but there is no doubt that it will lead box office this weekend and probably into the next. It would be a shame to get a terrible ending to such a great series or unless you are a fan who already thinks it went bad at fast five then it would be no surprise to them.
Will we ride off into the sunset with the rest of the cast? Or will we be left in the dust and wanting more?
