FHSD Resumes Classes, Marks Beginning of 2015-2016 School Year

By Chase Meyer, Webmaster

Tuesday marks the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year in the Francis Howell School District. Students throughout the district will be making their way through the doors of their respective schools.

While some students are excited, the typical voicing of others disapproval of the start of school blanketed social media days prior.

Although setting alarms and getting up on time will be a struggle at first for some at first, Weyhrich, a junior, did point out the positive.

“I’m looking forward to being able to drive myself to school,” she said.

As old friends and classmates reunite with each other, incoming freshmen will be meeting new people, most of who they will spend the rest of their high school career with.

Bonus: Freshmen became acquainted with FHN last Thursday during Transition Day.

Students will be reporting to their homerooms for the first 30 minutes of school, which starts at 7:20 a.m., where additional copies of schedules will be distributed, along with an overview of the Code of Conduct.
