Clubs and sports from FHN are making last minute preparations for the annual Black and Gold Day this Saturday, Aug. 15 held at the football stadium from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Black and Gold Day is a way for the FHN club activities and fall sports to raise money, but in addition to being a fundraiser this event is also a kickoff celebration for the fall sports and new school year.

For Junior Courtney Haislip, Black and Gold day is a time to spend with friends and to be excited for her upcoming season on the girls varsity volleyball team.

“Seeing all the fall teams getting excited for their season always makes me smile,” Haislip said. “I just get really excited for the season and playing with my team.”
