This year, FHN has made a new addition to the administration team, Steve Moorman. Moorman began the school year of 2015-16 as the new Dean of Students.

Moorman taught for seven years at FHHS and another seven at Ritenour High School and coached girls volleyball, softball and baseball for over fourteen years.

“Just helping students, seriously, that’s why I’m glad to be back in the building,” Moorman said.

Moorman previously served as the Secondary Math and Science Content Leader for FHSD where he focused on curriculum development for the FHSD schools.

“[I’m most excited about] being back in the building and working with students,” Moorman said.

As the Dean of Students, Moorman is the designated principal for students whose last names are Di – Lu. Moorman handles support and disciplinary issues with students within his alphabet, Open House, Parent-Teacher conferences and oversees the IT department.

“I really like the team atmosphere and the positive relationships I feel there is between staff and students,” Moorman said.

Moorman looks forward to learning his new responsibilities and roles for this new school year and interacting with the students at FHN.

“I think Mr. Moorman is a great addition to our team because he has a lot of curriculum background and experience,” Assistant Principal Erin Steep said. “I think he’s going to build good relationships with students and students are really going to like him.”
