The Howell North Knights lost to the Howell Vikings with a score of 14-49 on Sept. 11. Senior Jake Viehman scored the first touchdown for the Knights, and senior Jarrett Obrien scored the second touchdown. Both touchdowns were scored in the fourth quarter to the game
“We could’ve done better, but we did do good on a lot of stuff,” said Jordan Thomas. “We executed, we went out and played hard, and just get back at it next week.”
The first quarter ended with a score of 0-12. The second quarter ended with a score of 0-35, and the third quarter ended with a score of 0-42.
“We just learn from this game and get better,” said captain Kyle Springli.
Students from both schools gathered at the beginning of the game to hold an American flag in honor of first responder personal and the people who lost their lives 14 years ago. An EMT helicopter delieverd the game ball tonight flying directly onto the football field. Cheerleaders from both teams also collected money from spectators for a foundation called Back Stoppers. The cheer squads earned a total of $2,129 that night.
The Knights next game will be the homecoming game at home against Central.
