On Saturday Sept. 12, Varsity Cross Country competed in the Forest Park Cross Country Festival. The Forest park meet is the biggest meet of the entire season, schools from all over come to run in this meet. “I think the results were definitely mixed. We had some runners that did really well and got good PR’s but we also had a couple runners that weren’t feeling too good,” Sophomore Varsity runner Heidi Hauptman said. The girls team has had some bumps in the road. because of two varsity runners are injured this year. It’s a very competitive season this year for the whole Varsity team for getting a spot. ” I think they are all doing really. I don’t think there is anything that we have to work on. Just keeping working hard at practices like they always do. I’m just excited to see how times are going to keep dropping throughout the meets,” Hauptman said. (Photos by Jessie Define)
