FHN Administration Issues Homecoming Safety Statement

By Chase Meyer

On Friday, Sept. 18 at 9:03 a.m., FHN Head Principal Andrew Downs sent out a message concerning a potential safety issue at the homecoming dance on Saturday night. Those that missed it can view it below.

Dear FHN Parents and Guardians:

I would like to inform you of a vague rumor that circulated in school on Thursday about a plan to bring a weapon to our homecoming dance on Saturday, September 19, 2015. After working with our school resource officer throughout the day on Thursday, we do not find this rumor to be credible.

I want you to know that we are very serious about the safety of our students and staff members; it is our top priority at all times.   Please know that, as always, our dance will be supervised by Francis Howell North Administrative Team, building staff, local police officers, and building security. We are committed to our students and staff members have a safe atmosphere in which to enjoy their homecoming dance.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 636 851-5023.   I appreciate your support, and I look forward to a great homecoming weekend.

Sincerely,

Andrew Downs
Principal
