Pumpkin Spice Latte Makes a Return to Learning Commons

The current seasonal Coffee Friday drink is the pumpkin spice latte which is sold alongside the routine drinks including coffee, mochas and hot chocolate. For $2, students or staff members can purchase this beverage on Fridays from now until around Thanksgiving. There is no Coffee Friday next week, Oct. 16, due to fall break.

“I think it’s pretty fantastic, and it’s a good way to change things up when selling coffee on Fridays,” Epsilon Beta President and senior Molly Imboden said. “Who doesn’t like pumpkin spice lattes?”

At the last Coffee Friday, Oct. 2, which was the first Friday of the year where the pumpkin spice latte was sold, Epsilon Beta members helped serve the seasonal drinks and the others that were ordered alongside the two sponsors, Angie Davis and Tara Willen.

“I think pumpkin spice is a trend right now every fall,” Epsilon Beta Co-Sponsor Tara Willen said. “There’s pumpkin spice flavored everything, so it makes people feel like fall.”

The next drinks will be peppermint flavored mocha and cocoa which will be starting after Thanksgiving.

“[I think it’s popular] because it’s coffee and people love coffee,” freshman Kevin Tran said.
