Music Weekly: Week Three
Published: November 10, 2015
Welcome back… Here are the tracks for this week.
First Track: Smoke Filled Room by Mako
I chose this song for its minimal intro and great vocal line and chorus. It really relies on being minimal in what it uses to compliment the lead vocalist and really inspires to be different no matter who you are.
Second Track: Set Me Free by Diplo
I chose this track for its catchy lyrical lines, upbeat feel and complimenting musical lines. It also features hints of dubstep to compliment the meaning behind the chorus.
Third Track: Borderline by Vanic & Tove Styrke
I chose this track because of its great vocal chorus and great musical elements including dance influences and electronic groove.
Fourth Track: World Away by Kasbo
I choose this track for its melodic intro, minimal vocal line and minimal percussion. It’s overall a slow, melodically driven instrumental song.
Fifth Track: Wait Until Tomorrow by Prince Fox
I choose this track for its electronic influences, use of minimal percussion, lead music line and underlying message that you can’t wait to fix problems in your life today if you wait until tomorrow.
