How are you planning to celebrate Christmas this year?
“Well for Christmas, I have my family and friends, so I’m having a lot of Christmas parties in a lot of different places with a bunch of different people. We’re all planning on spending less money but more time together, because we’re spending a portion of the money we were going to spend on presents to an association called Living Water, which helps people in need of clean water get wells built.”
What is something your family does as a Christmas tradition every year?
“We have a pickle ornament that we hang on the tree, and whoever finds it first gets an extra gift on Christmas.”
What is your favorite Christmas memory?
“When I was really little, my mom’s whole side of the family, which is like 40 people, got together at my grandma’s and we had like a giant tree that was overflowing with presents, and my grandpa just turned to us with a sly smile and asked ‘who wants to open one early?’ And of course we all said, ‘me,’ and he frowned and went back to his slouched posture and said, ‘not until after dinner’.”
What is the best part about Christmas time?
“The best part about Christmas time is getting to give people presents and watching them open them. I just really like giving people things and making other people happy.”
