Five Things to Watch This Week at FHN

School’s back in session and events are heating up again in the FHSD.

  1. After school on Wednesday, the Drama Club leaves for Kansas City to participate in the Missouri State Thespian Conference. FHNtoday Web Staffer Bree Williams will be tagging along. Watch for her report on the conference coming next Monday.
  2. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels visited the Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield on Monday, Jan. 5. Their purpose was to meet with Spirit of St. Louis Air Show administration to coordinate resources that will be available to the team during the May 2016 air show. Local media including two FHNtoday staff members were present at the arrival of the team and plan to bring you more details on the experience this Thursday.
  3. Spanish teacher Brian Santos was named the FHSD distinguished foreign language teacher of 2015 at the end of December. After being named the FHSD teacher of the year last year, this is another advancement in Santos’ career. Look for more coming on Thursday.
  4. The FHNtodayTV live stream team will be covering the Varsity Girl’s Basketball game on Friday, Jan. 8 starting at 6:30 p.m. Live coverage can be found on FHNtoday.com/live.
  5. As winter break comes to a conclusion, registration for the 2016-17 school year will be full-steam-ahead. We’ll lay out how the guidance office plans to roll out the re-enrollment system this year, along with additional pieces of information that may be helpful to students in choosing which paths they should take in their remaining high school career’s.
