On Friday, Jan. 15, the FHN Varsity boy’s basketball team will be facing Parkway North at the Parkway North court at 7 p.m. FHN faced Parkway West on Wednesday and lost by 20 points. FHN also played against Troy on Thursday.
“I’m confident that we can beat them,” junior Jose Alega said. “We have similar records, and we beat them last year. Especially after two straight losses, we’ll be hungry for a win.”
Last year the boys basketball team was 9-17. So far, the boys this year are 3-9.
“The game against Parkway North will be a close game and we will come together as a team” junior Bryan Chac said.
This season, they have been working on all aspects of the game. They work hard everyday and strive to get better, whether it’s in practice or a game. Their goal is to be able to play their best basketball by the end of the year.
“Parkway North is traditionally a strong team so we’ll definitely have to play well, and I think with Parkway North or really any other team if we play together and do what we need to do we can compete with them and come out with a win,” Varsity Basketball Coach Wright said.
