Daddy’s Home Movie Review

An average, boring man, Brad (Will Ferrell), finds himself competing against the cool, highly likable Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) for the love of Dusty’s kids. Brad being the step dad he has to find ways for the kids to like him, but he finds it’s not as easy as he thought. He tries buying them things, taking them to a basketball game, and many other things to try to one-up Dusty. He does everything he can to make the kids like him but it seems like every time Dusty has something better.
This film had a normal Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg feeling to it with the corny jokes and funny dialog. Personally, I think those two were the perfect people for the roles, with Ferrell being the average normal looking guy and Wahlberg being the cool one that everyone likes.
Along with good acting, this film had a good, solid story with it, allowing you to relate to it much more. The story has a big twist at the end, but it’s a funny yet unexpected one. Overall I give this film an 8.5/10.
