The FHN C-Team basketball team competed against their rivals, FHC on Jan. 25 at Central. The Knights ended up defeating the Spartans, adding another win onto their season.
“We haven’t won a lot of games, but we’ve really grown as a team,” freshman Payton Stevenson said. “We have definitely gotten better throughout the season.”
In the second half of the game, a double technical was called, but the Knights kept fighting.
“We really played as a team,” Coach Ashley Weidner said. “We communicated a lot, and we kept working throughout the entire game.”
The score stayed pretty even throughout the entire game, but the Knights pulled out a win with a final score of 37-24. The C-Team Lady Knights have an overall record of 5 wins and 6 losses.
“Our season is going alright, we have our good and bad games, but our team is coming together,” freshman Kelly Burris said. “Our passes have gotten a lot better, we slowed things down and didn’t get all freaked out.”
The FHN C-Team girls basketball plays again on Wednesday, Jan. 27 against FHHS at home at 4:30 p.m. The Knights also play Timberland on Feb. 1 and Parkway Central on Feb. 3, both at FHN.
