It’s the first week in February. The Royal Rumble has come and gone and we are now on the road to WrestleMania with just 59 days to go.
- Will the Undertaker return to television this week?
That seems like an age old question when it comes to the road to WrestleMania. Two years ago this would’ve been in the number three slot. Two years ago the Undertaker’s legendary undefeated streak of 21-0 at WrestleMania was still alive. But now, since there’s no streak anymore and the Undertaker sits at 22-1, it’s just another match at WrestleMania. And The Undertaker’s WrestleMania mystique is dead just like him. The big thing surrounding him now is that The Undertaker is 50-years-old, he has nothing left to prove in this business. He’s had a Hall of Fame career with a character that shouldn’t have worked. Will WrestleMania 32 in front of a potential attendance record breaking crowd of 100 thousand be the last time The Undertaker defends his yard.
- What’s next for AJ Styles now that he’s come to WWE?
AJ Styles in WWE. Let that digest for a moment. It’s only been ten days since AJ Styles made his big WWE debut in the Royal Rumble match. But this man has been wrestling around the world for 18 years. In those 18 years, AJ Styles is the only non-WWE performer to top the coveted PWI top 500 wrestlers of the year (2010). He is one of the most decorated professional wrestlers in history holding numerous titles with numerous promotions. NJPW, ROH and TNA to name a few. But none of that matters now. AJ styles is in mainstream Wrestling and it’s time for him to show the casual wrestling fans what he brings to the table. The best way to do that is to pair him with someone he can work at WrestleMania. Kevin Owens.
- Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar
Three of the some of the top names in wrestling will face off in a triple threat match at FastLane to see who goes on to face Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Title in the main event of WrestleMania 32 on April 3rd in AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
Dean Ambrose: The least likely of the three to move on to the main event of WrestleMania, he will still bring the sauce to the match with his… let’s say different style of offense. And maybe he’ll get thrust into a mid-card title feud heading into WrestleMania.
Brock Lesnar: Suplex, suplex, suplex, suplex, suplex, maybe a kimura lock, suplex, suplex, F-5, pin. That’s the winning formula for Brock Lesnar and it’s just as mesmerizing everytime he does it. But will it win him a trip to the the main event of WrestleMania? Probably not. This year, just like last year, is Roman Reigns’ year.
Roman Reigns: The man. The myth. The legend. Roman Reigns is the favorite to win and go and face Triple H at WrestleMania. He defended the WWE World Title in the Royal Rumble match. The first man do so. And he lost. Who was he eliminated by? None other than the 14-time champ himself Triple H. This feud between Roman and The Authority has been heating up for a while now and The Authority finally got the upper hand when Triple H (who had been taken out by Roman with a superman punch a month earlier) used his power as COO to insert himself into the One Versus all WWE World Heavyweight Championship Royal Rumble Match at No. 30 and won it. This is where Roman Reigns gets the win for a chance to go get his sweet revenge at WrestleMania 32 in front of 100,000 fans.
