On Feb. 12, FHN’s choir hosted their annual dinner concert to support the FHN Choir. The dinner is run by the choir teacher Lorraine Smith. It is a four course meal with the serving and entertainment by the FHN choir. Two girls who are in Treble Choir, which was one out of the four choirs that were there, Riley McCrackin and Alexis Rink were some of the girls who got to serve and sing. Rink had a solo.

“I wanted to a solo because I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone, and man did I,” Rink said. “It was pretty nerve racking, but I felt accomplished after so I am pretty happy with the outcome.”

Just because the students are serving does not mean they had no fun. Along with performing, a lot of student put on performances and did duets with their friends.

“My favorite part was watching all the other groups perform,” McCrackin said. “I like to hear everyone’s voices and hearing them harmonize in a different way than what we do in class.”

The dinner raises money for the choir program. The choir program at FHN is very big and is a lot of kids’ favorite class, kids like Navy Birkner.

“I love choir because I love singing and I met a lot of girls in there that I now am very close with, and if it weren’t for choir, we wouldn’t be as close as we are,” Birkner said. “Unfortunately, I was not able to make the concert but heard it was great, and I got to see a lot of videos of my friends and it seemed like it was a lot fun and I really missed out.”
