Tyler Hanes, a Student with Autism, Makes 3-Pointer in His First Basketball Game of the Year
Published: February 23, 2016
On Friday, Feb. 19, varsity boys basketball manager Tyler Hanes suited up for his first game with the JV team. Hanes was put in the last minute of the first quarter in the game against Fort Zumwalt West. The goal of the team was to get Hanes to score. Hanes shot two times and North got both rebounds and kicked it out to Hanes. As time was winding down, Hanes shot a three-pointer and it went in right at the buzzer. Both JV and Varsity teams raced on the court and celebrated with Hanes. The Knights won 59-57.
