The much anticipated Mr. FHN event is coming soon on April 15 in the FHN big gym. However, some people don’t really know how the guys prepare for the day when they express their talents for their school.

“We gave the guys a scoring guide and all of the fundraising information,” Mr. FHN sponsor Shelly Parks said.  “They know that they have to wear formal wear, casual wear, and that they’re going to have question and answer session but probably, I would assume, that most of them are working on their talent.”

The guys are going up against each other and working hard for the Mr. FHN title and the money prize. Some are even coming back for a second time to go through the whole experience again.

“My experience with [Mr. FHN 2014-15] was really nice because I was one of the only juniors in it,” senior Chris Bounds said. “I got Mr. Congeniality, so that was pretty cool.”

Although the guys are competing against each other, they are also working together in a way by helping each other with their routines for the event. However, this definitely doesn’t lessen the hard work that is going into their acts whatsoever.

“Everybody has an idea about what they’re going to do, so I’ll be able to speak to everyone and see what they’re doing because I don’t want to do something that someone else is doing because that just wouldn’t be fair,” senior Sohail Jchaj said. “Maybe they’ll give me better ideas for what I want to do as my routine as well.”
