Baseball vs Howell 4/27

On Wednesday, April 27, the varsity baseball will play Francis Howell at home. They will be coming off a game against the Vikings the previous day. Going into the teams first meeting this season, the two teams appear to be very evenly matched. They have the exact same win percentage at .67. Both teams have beaten tough opponents such as CBC and FHC. This senior led team hopes to beat a rival that they haven’t beat the past two years. They also want to continue their impressive run of beating players going to Division 1 colleges. To do this they will be putting senior ________ on the mound Wednesday.  

Tennis GAC’s

On April 27-29 the varsity boys tennis team will take part in the GAC tournament held at FHN. For a team that has won this event the past two years they look to be the dark horse in the tournament. The favorites this year are the Francis Howell Vikings and the FZW Jaguars. For the also senior heavy FHN team, they don’t want to break the streak of GAC champs. Because of their losses to FZW and FH earlier in the season they will start out with worse seeding and therefore harder matches to start.

Girls Soccer at St.Dominic Tournament

On April 26-29, the varsity girls soccer team will participate in the St.Dominic Tournament. On Tuesday FHN will play the hosts to start the tournament. This will be a tough first test as St.Dominic have an impressive 11-2 record. The only common opponent the teams have faced in Incarnate Word. FHN lost 1-0, whereas St.Dominic won 5-0. The Knights do get a little leeway because that was their first match of the season. After they play the hosts the Knights will play Villa Duchesne on April 27, and Rock Bridge on April 29 to finish the tournament. Look for leading scorer Samantha Cary to add to her impressive 10 goals so far this season.
