Advice to Seniors
Published: August 9, 2016
If I could give any senior one piece of advice, it would be this: make something of your last year at FHN. This is your last year to join a club or sport. This is your last year to be in the classroom with one of your favorite teachers. This is your year.
Senior year is all about ending high school strong. Of course, you should look at colleges and be thinking of your degree. You’ve probably already started the whole process, but don’t stop trying once you get accepted to that dream school of yours. I know it may be a shock, but yes colleges do look at your second-semester grades.
Even though you’re planning your future, make sure you have fun. Join that sport you’ve always wanted to try. Audition for the fall play. Talk to people you didn’t even know were in your class. This is your last year in high school. You don’t want to look back and say, “Man, I wish I tried out for lacrosse,” or “I wonder what it would’ve been like to be in Mr. FHN.”
Just remember that senior year has been experienced by many people. Make the year 2016-2017 a memorable one.
